PayPunch is in beta. Features and screens are actively evolving, so a label or button you see in the app may look slightly different here. If something doesn’t match, let us know.

General

There are two entry points. Bookkeeper admins and client owners/managers sign in with email and password at /login. Employees clock in with a PIN at /timeclock. See Logging in.
A multi-tenant time clock for bookkeepers: employees log hours, owners approve them, and the bookkeeper exports a QuickBooks-ready file. See What is PayPunch?.
No. PayPunch collects and approves time, then exports it to QuickBooks via IIF. Your existing payroll process in QuickBooks does the rest.
No. Each client company is isolated within its bookkeeper org — a company only ever sees its own employees and timesheets. See Security & privacy.

For bookkeepers (admins)

Approve a pay period, then run the IIF export and import the .iif file into QuickBooks Desktop. See IIF export and the IIF format reference.
Only entries that are approved, clocked out, and within the selected date range. By default, entries already marked exported are skipped so you don’t double-count them.
Yes. A SUPER_ADMIN or ADMIN invites admin users by email; they set a password via /setup-account. See Users & invitations.
An admin resets it from the employee’s profile. Employees cannot reset their own PIN on the web — see the employee question below.

For company owners & managers (clients)

Review the pay period in Timesheets, fix or reject anything wrong, then submit it. See Submitting payroll.
Export buttons in the client portal are beta placeholders right now. To get data out, use the Reports pages, which produce the real exports.
Reach Reports at /client/reports and open Notifications from the bell icon in the header — they aren’t in the left sidebar in the current build.
Approval is configured on the bookkeeper (admin) side. As a client you review and submit; you won’t see a per-entry approve control. See Reviewing time.

For employees

Go to the Time Clock at /timeclock, choose Employee ID / email / phone, enter your PIN, and tap Clock In. See Quickstart: Employees.
Time off, pay stubs, and earnings live in the PayPunch mobile app. The web clock focuses on punching in and out and reviewing your timesheet.
PIN changes are handled in the mobile app or by asking your admin to reset it — there’s no PIN-change screen on the web time clock.
Open the rejected entry, read the reason, correct it, and resubmit. See Rejected entries and Troubleshooting.
